What do I do if I am involved in an accident?
In General, Wisconsin Statutes requires the operator of a motor vehicle involved in any accident resulting in injury, death, or property damage, to immediately stop at the scene to fulfill the following requirements:
1. Render any reasonable
assistance to the injured,
2. Give their name, address, and vehicle registration information, and
3. Exhibit his or her operator license if requested.
Should the accident involve
an unattended vehicle or other property, you must also attempt to immediately
notify the owner, or if unsuccessful, leave written notice with your name,
address, and vehicle registration information.
The law also requires that you immediately notify the police of any accident
involving injury, death, or property damage to any one person to the apparent
extent of $1,000.00 or more ($200.00 if government owned property). Furthermore,
accidents under these circumstances must be reported to the Wisconsin Department
of Transportation within ten days. If you have contacted the police, they will
make the report for you.
If the police department cannot file the report, and you have been instructed to
file it yourself, you will need to complete a Wisconsin Driver Report of
Accident form
MV4002.
It is advisable to contact the
police in any occasion when a motor vehicle is involved in an accident to
help make these determinations for you. By doing so, you are assured that you
have availed yourself to all notification and reporting requirements. Also,
should the accident fall into a non-reportable category, they may yet record
details should an insurance claim be filed in the future.

If you cannot come into the police department, reports can be mailed if you send a self addressed stamped envelope along with the case number and appropriate copying fees. Review the following Fee Schedule and fill out the Request for Public Records Form to obtain a police/accident report, photos or a CD/DVD releasable under open records law. Contact the Campbell Police Department at (608) 783-1050 for inquiries on the number of pages that may be in a particular case file to determine the total copying fees.

Your property taxes cover weekly pickup of normal household refuse. Microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, refrigerators, air conditioners and other large appliances can be picked up curbside on the same regular trash pickup day; however, you must pay an additional fee for each of these larger items. This fee is collected at the town hall and a prepaid Appliance Refuse Sticker will be issued to you to then affix onto the appliance. All of the fees collected by the town for larger items are then paid to the refuse contractor for the additional pickup services. Please obtain the refuse sticker 2-3 days prior to the weekly scheduled refuse pickup so the town can notify the refuse contractor about the volume and location of larger items for pickup.
The current cost is $20.00 for curbside pickup of ANY large appliance.
