The Campbell Police Department currently fields one police K-9 team. The K-9 team consists of Officer Fronk and his Black Lab Winston. Officer Fronk is currently training Winston and obtaining certifications in numerous aspects of police K-9 tactics with a particular emphasis on narcotics detection.

Training is a continuous and time consuming part of a K-9 handler's responsibilities. Winston is an unpaid officer and is privately owned by Officer Fronk. He spends countless hours on and off duty in order to obtain and maintain certifications required for police K-9 units.  The Campbell Police K-9 unit solicits and gladly accepts donations to help offset costs associated with veterinary costs, dog food, grooming visits, police K-9 equipment, training and other miscellaneous expenses.  Some of these expenses are currently paid for by officer Fronk with little or no reimbursement. If you wish to make a donation, please mail a check to the following address:

Winston is a great asset to the Campbell Police Department and residents of the Town of Campbell. If you see Officer Fronk on duty, feel free to ask him questions. If you happen to see K-9 Winston outside the vehicle, please keep your distance from the K-9 unit and DO NOT PET the dog without the handlers consent.
